Summary

The position will support all Neiman Marcus organizations as a member of the corporate Talent Development Transformation and Change Management team.  This position will be based at Neiman Marcus – Talent Development (Dallas, TX) in our downtown Dallas headquarters.

 

Responsibilities

This position provides change management (including stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, business readiness and adoption), and communications support to internal client groups, especially in support of strategic corporate initiatives.

Change Management responsibilities include:

·        Provides change management services including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, change plans, business readiness and adoption, to client groups as needed to support large change efforts

·        Collaborates with internal clients to assess change impacts and communications needs and make recommendations to address priority needs

·        Ensures that change management and communications objectives are aligned with business strategies and are consistently executed

·        Collaborates with other team members on various projects

·        Teams collaboratively across the Talent Development and other HR teams in planning, designing and executing talent solutions/programs

·        Participates in development, modification and support of core HR processes and tools, such as performance management, succession planning, etc.

 

Communications responsibilities include:

·        Provides communications services including developing plans, creating messaging, writing content, and communications deployment through various channels as needed to support large change efforts

·        Executes communications plan design and development (both technical and soft skills), delivery, and assessment of value added

·        Collaborates with internal clients to assess change impacts and communications needs and make recommendations to address priority needs

·        Identifies communications opportunities, and acts as point of contact for communications within project work streams.

·        Experienced in using multiple tools and channels for creating and deploying communications content and tracking usage and effectiveness by resource

·        Administers all communications related activities for change management plans

·        Evaluates change management and communications effectiveness and impact on business (e.g., Measures ROI on business impact through formalized metrics and reporting)

·        May partner with vendors or external consultants to build communications solutions

·        Develops detailed project plans, implements projects and evaluates project results (project management experience)

 

Skills

Required

·        4-6 years change management and communications experience:  Excellent consultation and assessment skills, with demonstrated ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders.

·        Knowledge of and experience in organizational change, employee transition, organization design, and culture change theories, models, and techniques.

·        Change management certification preferred (PROSCI, etc.).

·        Communications design experience; Familiar with communications approaches in a retail environment with both stores and corporate audiences.

·        Demonstrated ability to work with various communications tools and channels and experience creating multi-faceted communications plans.

·        Demonstrates technical proficiency as well as advanced software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, web conferencing applications, and authoring software similar to Adobe Captivate/Storyline)

·        Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation design skills.

·        Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across NMG brands 

·        Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task

·        Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude

·        Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in working with senior executives

·        Excellent planning and organization skills

·        Strong attention to detail;  strong quality assurance skills

·        Retail experience is preferred.

·        Some travel may be required

·        Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Education, Training, HR, OD or a related field
