Job Summary
The Assistant Manager position is a multi-dimensional role responsible for assisting the Integrated Marketing Manager in media planning, buying, and executing all aspects of digital co-op, BG Magazine and print advertising. This position works cross functionally with teams across the organization including the buying office, creative, marketing and digital media team. The role also assists in managing external brand, publisher and agency relationships. The successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong communication skills. They should also be curious, have ideas and want to develop their career.
 
Job Duties
  • Partner with the Integrated Marketing Manager on the media schedule, management and execution of brand funded activity across print / digital media for specific BG categories
  • Liaise with buyers & brands on marketing campaigns to ensure all programs expectations are met and executed seamlessly
  • Become a key advocate and support in the Marketing Department for assigned BG categories
  • Communicate effectively with the Site team, Project Manager and Integrated Marketing Manager to track jobs and ensure all digital programs are approved and released on time
  • Works closely with the Marketing Operations Assistant Manager to execute paid social programs to ensure objectives and budget are met within the set timeline.
  • Assist the Manager in developing and producing written strategic plans and recommendations to meet Bergdorf Goodman and/or brand objectives
  • Compile reporting and analytics to determine success of all brand programs
  • Responsible for digital contracts for corresponding marketing programs and communication with the finance department regarding these campaigns
  • Attend weekly BG.com calls to review upcoming programs and speak to their objective(s)
  • Partner with team members to compile and organize brand & seasonal campaign recaps
  • Actively contribute to planning process, contributing innovative ideas and new media avenues
     
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably marketing or business
  • 2-3 years in digital marketing, retail or agency experience a must
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and support multiple functions within the department
  • Excellent internet and computer application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
