Your Role 

The Lead Receiving Associate supports the Assistant Store Manager, Operations by overseeing all the shipping and receiving of merchandise. As the lead, you will support the omnichannel approach by providing a seamless shopping experience to both the online and in store customer. The Receiving Lead may also act as a Manager on Duty and help lead the store’s daily operations. In this role you will report to the Assistant Store Manager, Operations. 

What You'll Do 

  • Process store receipts to be floor ready: hung, censored and ticketed as needed 
  • Receive several trucks and process incoming merchandise 
  • Return defective/broken goods to original source for claims 
  • Process damaged goods for inventory control 
  • Communicate with appropriate division regarding shipment delays and errors 
  • Help with inventory balances of shipped merchandise 
  • Work with Store Management and Associates to fulfill customer orders and transfers 
  • Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities when scheduled, including overseeing total store operations, responding to customer service issues, prioritizing and delegating associate workload and responding to staffing concerns 
  • Support the onboarding process for new team members and deliver technical training in areas of expertise 
  • Objectively assess associate performance and provide feedback to management to address development opportunities 
  • Foster a positive work environment by delivering recognition 
  • Box merchandise and package for shipment with appropriate outbound paperwork 
  • Field calls from customer service on order changes including address changes, cancelations, and customer issues 
  • Promote communication between the online fulfillment center and store operations 
  • Follow all safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas 

What You Bring 

  • Receiving Leads must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays 
  • 3+ years of receiving experience, prefer experience in retail 
  • Requires the ability to perform general math computations 
  • Possess basic computer skills 
  • Lift material of up to 35 pounds
