DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising is to build sales volume by leading the selling team to provide selling and service that exceeds our customers' expectations. This manager is responsible for the selling team, including the recruitment and selection of selling associates, training, retention, and performance management.  This manager strives to achieve the goals of the store as well as the Last Call Division.  This role will assist the Store Manager in driving sales and positive plan results through superior customer service, events, promotions, and motivation of the staff.  The Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising also acts as Manager on Duty and assists in leading the store’s daily operations, as well as contributes to the maintenance of the store through daily recovery.

 

  • Lead the selling team to achieve store goals in sales, clientele capture and customer service, among others

  • Continually re-merchandise product to create impactful, on-trend statements while following Last Call visual presentation direction

  • Develop a high performing team of associates by teaching, coaching and providing actionable feedback to drive performance

  • Assess associate performance consistently and objectively

  • Effectively communicate key information to associates, such as product knowledge, new store promotions, and all company expectations

  • Deliver flawless execution in weekly promotional signing changes and effectively communicate the current sales promotion to associates

  • Identify current business trends.  Communicate with store manager and merchants regarding merchandise needs and issues

  • Ensure that merchandise is recovered throughout the day and kept to presentation standards.

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships by leveraging in store tools of clientele and Sales Associate Email

  • Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma.  Bachelor’s degree in business or fashion preferred

  • 2+ years of retail management experience

  • 1+ year of visual merchandising experience

  • 5+ years of retail experience preferred

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
