Vice President, Talent Development

 

NMG is seeking Vice President, Talent Development to lead all aspects of end-to-end talent development. The VP, Talent Development role will be pivotal in shaping the future success of NMG and driving signature talent management processes that support the organization’s talent needs and objectives. The successful candidate will provide thought leadership and execution support around all aspects of talent development to the CEO, CHRO and the senior leadership team.  

 

In addition, the VP, Talent Development will be expected to work closely with the divisional HR leaders in a collaborative partnership to achieve shared HR strategic goals. NMG is seeking a strategic and innovative leader who will foster best-in-class strategies and programs in the following areas: management and leadership development; performance management; learning/training; organizational development; and succession planning.  This role reports to the CHRO and is a member of the senior HR leadership team.

 

The goal of this position is to help the CHRO continue to evolve the HR function and ensure the talent strategy enables achievement of an aggressive NMG strategic agenda. A performance and innovative culture is required to achieve the agenda and this role will contribute greatly to enhancing the culture.

 

Major Responsibilities

·        Lead the assessment, continued development, and implementation of end-to-end talent processes for NMG. Serve as an expert advisor and partner to the HR Leadership Team in the design and execution of talent-related strategies.

·        Work closely with the HR leads and business leaders to reinforce the merits of ongoing talent and learning initiatives while promoting new programs and supporting their implementation.

·        Drive progressive and business-centered learning and leadership assessment and development across NMG, including the integration and deployment of all enterprise-wide learning strategies and solutions, as well as programs to ensure leaders at all levels are building capability.

·        Provide performance measures to gauge program effectiveness, business impact and outcomes

·        Direct an efficient and effective performance management process that aligns with company, including continuing to integrate best practices

·        Drive sustainment and evolution of NMG values, Leadership competencies and other in-flight programs

·        Reinvigorate efforts to support the company’s succession planning and talent review process at senior levels.

·        Oversee the corporation's organizational design and change-management strategies and the development of these capabilities within the organization

·        Leading and developing a team of experts/specialists to ensure the team is meeting the needs of HR and the business

Experience/Skills Required

·        Fifteen-plus years of comprehensive human resources/ organization development experience ideally within a customer focused organization.

·        The ability to gain credibility by developing trust-based partnerships with a diverse and distributed workforce; Strong advisory and consulting skills
