A strategic team leader. Under the direction of the Vice President Creative, this role collaborates in the creative vision and conception of innovative digital experiences and products. The role focuses on designing solutions that reflect Neiman Marcus branding and enhances the overall customer/consumer experience. Successful candidates will integrate and execute on design strategy, provide appropriate business, design, consumer and cultural story-telling within the context and parameters necessary. This individual provides leadership and management of UX design team members and acts as an advocate for experience research and its integration with Brand design. Ideal candidates will possess a Portfolio of work demonstrating cross-channel expertise and skill in creating user-centric digital experiences, UX research, prototyping, and testing.
 
Job responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of UX Designers and Writers; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices.
  • Understand customer goals, business requirements, technical constraints, and be able to work within project parameters.
  • Package creative concepts and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways
  • Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time.
  • Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside your core product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
  • Define and manage the product design process.
  • Foster Neiman Marcus luxury experience focus culture and standard within the group, while setting new standards in executional and operational excellence.
  • Be responsible for and effectively advocate for users in a fast-paced, corporate climate, imparting day-to-day design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between UX design, brand design, content, business, and engineering.
  • Experience working in Agile Methodologies and Design Thinking
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • You are open, honest and direct in your approach to giving feedback and managing teams
Job Requirements
  • 10 + years of UX experience designing and leading the design of user interfaces for web / mobile, following user-centered design principles.
  • 6+ years leading digital design teams.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to successfully communicate to a varied audience in both written and spoken form.
Experience creating exceptional presentations & ability to present ideas and information in a group situation
