POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Neiman Marcus Product Management Team is looking for a skilled Senior Product Manager who is passionate about advocating for the customer, has excellent product instincts, a passion for creating great experiences, a data-centric mindset, agile thinking, and the willingness to challenge the status quo.

 

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the strategy of the Neiman Marcus Group and its digital and technology roadmap. The position will collaborate with business partners, subject matter experts, engineers and vendor partners to establish business and technical requirements & stories ensuring delivery of new features and functionality, as well as ongoing optimizations.

 

You will contribute to the success of the NMG digital selling strategy, including ongoing feature development and optimization of the associate-facing application “Connect”, POS/mobile POS  and activities supporting new client relationships. 

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Build and maintain the product roadmap, ROI, feature/function definition, experience design, and KPI’s for assigned area of responsibility
  • Define business benefits feature sets, as well as conduct product research to develop product strategy
  • Deliver the product roadmap within time, budget, and quality requirements, and continuously drive towards an MVP (minimum viable product) and MLP (minimum lovable product) roll-out
  • Lead product optimization post-launch, incorporating analytics, customer feedback, and market opportunities for ongoing prioritization of the roadmap
  • Provide direction for Product Managers and Product Analysts for a defined product portfolio including individual performance management as well as management of business results
  • Supports and provides direction to the product managers in determining the impact of new functionality to existing business processes and system functionality
  • Ensures the team writes user stories of sufficient quality in order to provide a solid foundation for realizing the benefits of the program
  • Build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders critical to the delivery of the product portfolio
  • Prioritize portfolio investment to maximize benefit/return to customers/company based on NMG strategy
  • Manage vendor partners to help solve customer and business problems and collaborate to drive for new innovations in products and services that best meet business needs and strategy

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Strong experience with Agile Frameworks and Deployment methodologies in a customer-facing production environment 
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, able to work under deadlines in a changing environment, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to multi-task, working independently and to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize, communicate clearly, a consistent track record of delivery, and an obsession about the customer experience
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (including Adobe Analytics and Quantum Metrics) and experience using data to make decisions
  • Experience in eCommerce and Omni-Channel delivery
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Jira/Confluence/Structure)

  • Strong business acumen, operations and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to assess current practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and build consensus

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, focused on eCommerce or digital capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Computer Science, or other related field
