Sr Manager, Social Media Content & Planning
Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Social Media Content & Planning for Neiman Marcus. In this role, the Sr. Manager will lead social content strategy, ideation and planning for seasonal and special projects. This role requires a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for fashion, social media, creative storytelling and digital innovation.
This person will work closely with the Social Media Strategy and Insights Manager to develop forward-looking content strategies that will drive the future of Neiman Marcus’ content and social media engagement. The Sr. Manager will also need to stay abreast of new and emerging platforms, digital culture, and technologies. The goal is to evolve our content storytelling, as well as increase our sophistication in earned media marketing techniques, understand their impact, increase consumer engagement and loyalty.
A creative, strategic problem-solver, quest for constant optimization, high attention to detail & and an appetite for innovation are critical skills for success in this role. This position will manage one specialist and report to the Social Media Director while partnering closely with the art direction, design and editorial teams.
Position Responsibilities
Lead best-in-class content strategy for social platforms; developing and overseeing the planning and execution of social content initiatives, including:
Partner with Marketing Strategy & Content Planning teams to clearly define content plan for social platforms
Lead content /asset ideation; Partnering with Social Media Art Director (AD) and Social Specialist
Briefing content/ asset needs for seasonal and special campaigns
Lead ongoing training on evolution of content consumption
Review organic, paid and influencer content post Social Media AD selection
Overall social execution across organic and earned platforms
Supervision of all organic social accounts, this team is responsible of maintaining the channels up to date and act seamlessly on any platform updates.
Create and optimize real-time content process, considering all parties involved and necessary approvals.
Be the subject matter expert on social content insights, be able to manage and adapt the Neiman Marcus brand strategy to social brand positioning across all channels
Constantly identify synergies and differentiation opportunities for social content vs. other marketing channels.
Be an expert and visionary on all content within the Neiman Marcus platforms including: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest
Identify relevant and on-brand real-time opportunities for brand participation.
Manage, mentor and coach Social Media Specialist, driving for constant growth and learning.
Update training process, guidelines for content standards and value evaluation for Local Store Handles. This person will be responsible for alignment between national vs. local handles.
Build content testing roadmap and update quarterly based on learnings and industry updates.
Job Requirements
8 + years industry experience
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Marketing or Communications is preferred.
Experience in Social Media Content, Influencer management and social media analytic tools (i.e. Sprinklr, etc.)
Excellent understanding of social platforms, content engagement, pop-culture and digital trends.
Must have strong strategic, creative, analytical, critical and forward thinking skills

Must have great attention to detail
Effective communication skills with creative teams

Management experience of at least 3 years.
