SEO Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for an SEO coordinator to join our performance engine within our Marketing Activation Team! As SEO coordinator, you will report to our SEO Manager and be responsible for coordinating and implementing on-the-page and off-the-page SEO strategies. You’ll work closely with internal and external partners to implement best practices and strategic recommendations. This role will support the natural search programs across all 3 sites NeimanMarcus.com, BergdorfGoodman.com Horchow.com. The ideal candidate must have at least 1-2 years of hands-on SEO and eCommerce experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the SEO Manager on developing the strategic vision and innovation roadmap
Develop optimization strategies that increase our search engine results rankings
Partner with Product Management, UX, and SEO agency on technical SEO plan development
Research and analyze competitive SEO strategies
Responsible for the creation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports, in partnership with the agency
Partner with Paid Media/SEM team to align paid and organic strategies
Stay up to date on the latest developments in SEO and search engine algorithm changes
Measure and track site ranking factors, keywords, internal and external links, and site content
Review and audit owned sites to drive change that complies with best practices (including schema.org)
Work closely with internal teams including Merchandising, Ecomm Operations and Product teams to develop processes ensuring SEO best practices are followed
Partner with and manage relationships with external vendors / agencies
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of SEO and eCommerce experience, either in-house or at an agency
Basic understanding of technical SEO requirements
Basic understanding of web analytics (Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics)
Willingness to learn enterprise reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
Basic understanding of Ecommerce processes (product setup, inventory management, etc.)
Deep understanding of search engine ranking criteria, including local ranking factors
Experience working SEO tools – Webmaster Tools, Majestic, Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Searchmetrics etc.
Past-proven experience implementing SEO initiatives for enterprise websites
Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or other rich media technologies (website architecture a plus)
Ability to work with various types of data to develop and analyze trends and insights
High-level proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Retail apparel E-commerce experience a plus
Requires an Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
