Job Title:
Sr Web Analyst
The Sr Web Analyst will be responsible for supporting the overall e-commerce analytics organization and best-in-class web analytics implementation across all Neiman Marcus Group sites. This role will collaborate across Product Management, IS, Marketing, and Testing teams to advocate for data driven decisions, support site enhancements, monitor performance for potential issues with tagging, and ensure web analytics data quality to optimize NMG’s online business.
Responsibilities Include:
Effectively respond to ad-hoc report and analysis requests from the various team (Merchants, Marketing, Product Management)
Responsible for web analytics analysis and reporting across all Neiman Marcus Group ecommerce platforms
Work with the Product Management team and business partners to identify A/B testing opportunities and personalization efforts
Collaborate with Product Management, IS, and Testing teams on new requests and site enhancements by:
Gathering and understanding business requests for data collection, guiding the business teams on collection and reporting best practices
Defining technical requirements for data layers and tag management systems
Working in partnership with the testing team on test cases and data layer structure
Enforcing effective tagging strategies
Ensure Web Analytics data quality. Monitor variable performance for potential issues with analytics tagging or alerts for site issues
Maintain a knowledge of industry best practices and identify ways to streamline and improve Neiman’s implementation
Review all brand sites for tagging anomalies or opportunities
Help guide the work of more junior analytics team members and/or contractors
Qualifications:
4-year Degree, preferably in Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or in other quantitative field of study
1 - 3 years of experience working in web analytics or related area. Working in the Retail industry or with multi-channel data strongly desired
1 – 3 years of experience using web analytics tools such as Omniture / Adobe, Google Analytics, or similar (Omniture / Adobe preferred)
Knowledge of website technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) a plus
Prior experience using Tag Management System is a plus (Tealium preferred)
Experience with implementation of web analytics tools as well as data validation is a plus
Ability to independently prioritize workload as well as effectively collaborate in a team environment
Ability to build strong working relationships with key partners and business leads
Solid business acumen with Retail industry knowledge a plus
