Senior Campaign Writer
Job Summary
Ideates relevant and engaging communication concepts, defining their expression through inspiring copy. Supports the Copy Director in crafting consistent and impactful messaging for Neiman Marcus marketing channels, including print, digital, video, social, and store visuals. Thinks creatively and strategically, collaborating with creative, marketing, and merchant teams to concept omni-channel campaigns that amplify business priorities and engage customers through brand-right seasonal expressions.
Job Duties
• Works with creative, merchant, and marketing partners to tell product and brand stories that support business strategies and reinforce Neiman Marcus as a luxury authority
• Leads concept development for The Book, The Christmas Book, category mailers, and seasonal digital magazines, identifying opportunities for editorial storytelling, writing and assigning copy as needed
• Weaving seasonal campaign messages into copy for store visuals, video, and other supporting channels
• Partners closely with designers and art directors to craft omni-channel campaign concepts and supporting storylines that express campaign pillars in messaging and visuals
• Articulates seasonal trends in partnership with fashion directors and buyers, leading the creation of relevant messaging
• Works on special projects as needed, such as concepts for private-label launches, direct-mail pieces, Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts, copy and concepts for marketing/co-op decks, etc.
Job Requirements
• Minimum 5 years as a senior creative, concepting campaigns and ideas across channels, from print to digital to video
• Broad and deep experience writing copy for websites and/or print marketing
• 5 years agency experience essential; luxury/fashion experience preferred
• Must demonstrate conceptual thinking ability through effective marketing ideas and creative concepts
• Must have strong creative portfolio, including video storytelling
• Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in advertising, marketing, journalism, or English, or commensurate professional experience in related field
• Effective communicator and presenter
• Deep understanding of the nuances of brand voice
• Ability to craft compelling editorial content, long-form and short
• Collaborative spirit, deriving energy from working with others, regardless of their function
• A journalist’s eye for detail, able to self-edit for grammar, spelling, and punctuation under deadline
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365
