Neiman Marcus is seeking a highly motivated team member for a high-visibility leadership role providing project direction and coordination across the NMG customer marketing division. This position will play an important role providing leadership to modernize and enhance the loyalty program, customer master data, and campaign management strategies across the NMG enterprise. While this position is part of the Information Technology division, this is a collaborative role and will work across a blended team comprised of business leaders and technology specialists to deliver on common strategic objectives.  
 
POSITON OVERVIEW
The Project Coordinator supports one or more Project Managers or a Program Manager at the task and activity coordination level. Supports the Project Manager with deliverable tracking, facilitating the creation of status reports and updates to project plans. Supports the business leaders in the coordination of key deliverables across multiple teams, ensuring meeting minutes are clearly documented and task assignments fully understood with clear expectations.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
     
    PROJECT COORDINATION
  • Assists in the coordination of activities in order for the team to meet project milestones.
  • Assists in the tracking of project deliverables, monitoring completion against schedule as well as assisting with task-level coordination.
  • Assists with compiling, individual project, initiative, and bundle plans into a comprehensive program plan.
  • Assists in managing change to base lined scope, schedule, and cost variables.
  • Responsible for planning and maintaining the program and project meeting schedule to ensure a consistent cadence for all meetings at the project, initiative, bundles, and the program level.
  • Facilitates creation of status reports as well as maintenance of project budgets.
  • Provides knowledge management capability by ensuring all project materials are uploaded to Jira/Confluence.
  • Reviews time tracking to ensure accurate capitalization of project time.
 
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Assists in the communication of relevant project information to stakeholders and teams.
  • Escalates potential risks/issues to relevant Project Manager.
 
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
 
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with project teams and managers.
  • Act as a point of contact and facilitate access to subject matter experts.
  • Communicate to stakeholders on project status and tasks.
 
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Ability to define and document and manage basic project plans.
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of software development methodology.
  • Experience with all aspects of software project life cycles from requirements gathering, through design, development and implementation.
  • Ability to utilize methods and tools, using iterative techniques where appropriate, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management, and testing processes are maintained. 
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, plan and deliver projects on-time, on-budget, on-scope with high quality.
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams (technical and business) and multiple levels of leadership is required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work up, down and across organizational levels.
  • Experience working with external consultants and vendors and managing a joint project plan.
  • Detail-oriented, with solid organizational skills, able to work under deadlines in a changing environment, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to prioritize, communicate clearly, a consistent track record of delivery, and an obsession about the customer experience.
  • Ability to interact with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and product owners in matrix structure of product management team.
 
EDUCATION & TRAINING
 
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related discipline required.
 
Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or one of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications is preferred.
