Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

Proficient in production monitoring concepts and implementation including synthetic, real user, application performance, system, log, time-series, and dashboards

Knowledge of leveraging tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Newrelic, Splunk, etc

Proficient in production systems design including High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance, Efficiency, and Security

Hands-on proficiency in a scripting languages to drive monitoring needs (python, shell, AWS)

Proficient in a Linux or Unix based environment

Good understanding of modern micro service based architectures and operations

Experience in a cloud computing platforms and in hybrid environments

Hands on experience in monitoring distributed, high-availability, customer facing platforms

Understanding of technologies such as NGINX, Spring, Elasticsearch, Cassandra

Good knowledge of middleware technologies such as JBoss or Websphere/Weblogic
