Job Summary
We are seeking a Media Strategist for the Neiman Marcus Group. In this critical role, you will be responsible for translating brand and campaign objectives into strategic media solutions, delivering results against well-defined branding and/or direct response objectives. A solid background in media planning and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with many stakeholders are critical skills for success in this role. This role will require a comfort level across all forms of media (traditional, social, and digital), with a heavy concentration on digital channels. This individual will work very closely with our social team and co-op teams to both manage and promote our Private Influencer Network.
Position Responsibilities
Campaign Planning: Develop comprehensive and effective media plans in all media, across all Neiman Marcus Group brands. Proactively seek/develop new and innovative media solutions. Demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet inspirational /creative style.
Account Management: Partner with marketing and creative teams to ensure all advertising programs align to campaign objectives and are appropriately measurable. Build strong working relationships across the organization as well as with external agencies and vendors. Capable of effectively managing up and down the reporting structure
Analytics & Reporting: Analyze campaign results by platform, using web analytics and CRM data to assess performance and recommend future improvements. Support media team in preparing and delivering reporting and analysis to key internal teams and NMG executives.
Budget Management: Efficiently manage budgets and forecasts across all media channels.
Job Requirements
Advertising agency experience required
Retail (B2C Apparel) experience within a Omni-Channel organization is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Marketing or Communications is preferred
5-7+ years of media planning/buying experience
Track record of generating innovative media solutions
Strong understanding of the media landscape and media planning concepts
Basic knowledge of Paid search, Display, and Natural search marketing highly preferred
Adept at Omniture or other web site analytics tool
Experience with Attribution tools and media mix modeling
Must be detail-oriented, with strong problem solving skills
Must have strong quantitative and analytical skills—you can translate a story behind numbers/data
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time effectively
