Job Summary:


 


Order Filling Team Leads are responsible for completing the following tasks:


 


  • Remaining fully aware of department goals by monitoring all daily reports.
  • Distributing work to team members to ensure department goals are achieved.
  • Ensuring team associates follow proper procedures.
  • Training new associates.
  • Maintaining excellent cross-functional and interdepartmental communication.
  • Assisting and supporting supervisor, manager and director on special projects as needed.
  • Other tasks as required to meet team goals.

The Associate must demonstrate the willingness and ability to:


 


  • Assist with the training of new associates on voice recognition picking system.


  • Manage associate workload.
  • Monitor quality of and quantity of work produced by associates to ensure goals are met.
  • Monitoring reports to ensure timely processing of customer orders.
  • Issue corrective action as necessary for behavioral/performance issues.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
  • Remain professional, fair and consistent in interacting with the NMD team.
  • Actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members.
  • Identify and address / elevate team productivity and quality concerns.
  • Focus and remain on task in a fast paced environment; multitask with ease.
  • Maintain high level of safety awareness; provide safety feedback constructively.
  • Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
  • Remain flexible to work overtime, as scheduled.
  • Give strong attention to detail.








QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in distribution and logistics.
  • Previous lead, supervisory or management experience and/or previous experience achieving results through others; exceptional leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to manage heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Power Point), general working knowledge of computer systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Great organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong sense of customer service.

  • Advanced problem-solving experience.
  • Meet NMD physical requirements of standing, bending and lifting, etc.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lifting Objects weighing up to 25lbs from the floor to over-head level.

  • Lift objects weighing up to 45lbs from the floor to waist.

  • Continuous/frequent walking or standing for long periods of time.

  • Continuous/frequent pushing or pulling heavy carts – up to 50lbs.
