ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive claims paperwork from buyer, LRC, stores and docks
Obtain approval for chargebacks against foreign vendors
Determine pertinent information on chargeback amount, open orders, unpaid invoices, checks/wires
Set up claims & post payments in import system
Process Journal Entries to the General Ledger
Add claim documents to the Electronic Filing system
Prepare export documents and partner with Export Operations for RTV shipping
Prepare the Duty Drawback package annually
Complete the monthly NM & BG Claims Reconciliation
Crosstrain with all Import Financial Services associates as a backup
Flex to other areas as needed – Import shipment recap reconciliations
Attend scheduled shift regularly and punctually
QUALIFICATIONS

Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independently.
Proficiency with PC applications (Excel/PowerPoint/Word). Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is preferable. Ability to learn NMG merchandising systems.
Excellent math skills with attention to detail
General accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
Ability to read, analyze and interpret information. Ability to write reports and basic business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
