The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining the company’s various accounting and financial applications while supporting the Financial Systems Manager and system end-users. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects in addition to completing daily tasks. Daily tasks include data loads, interface posting, system maintenance, general accounting inquiries, etc. The Analyst will work with various IT, Merchant, Planning, and Inventory departments across the organization to resolve system anomalies and address other problems in a timely manner. In addition, the individual will work closely with the Financial Systems Manager to perform process improvement initiatives and support new business ventures.

Job Duties:

·         Provide technical support to system users while identifying and addressing potential issues

·         Perform Essbase outline maintenance, monitor data loads, and perform analysis on data cubes

·         Develop and enhance reports using SQL coding to leverage large amounts of data

·         Maintain system driven calculations and journal entries within the General Ledger

·         Analyze current business practices and develop more efficient and accurate practices

·         Ensure all transactional interfaces from various systems are loaded into the General Ledger

·         Support the Accounting Month-End closing procedures by performing designated tasks

·         Assist with special projects and additional tasks as needed

 

Job Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent

·         Strong technical aptitude with 2/3 years’ experience (retail/accounting experience a plus)

·         Ability to code complex SQL queries within various applications (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL)

·         Very Strong MS Excel skills - INDEX, PIVOT, ARRAY, ETC.

·         SmartView Add-In experience

·         Flexibility and adaptability to respond accordingly to frequently changing demands and priorities

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong attention to detail and critical/logical thinking

·         Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

·         Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)

·         VisualBasic (VB) knowledge a plus

·         Hyperion Essbase Administration (EAS) knowledge
