Qualifications:
The Associate must demonstrate the willingness and ability to work the following schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 6am to 2:30pm (8 hour shift)
- Actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members and all levels of management.
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
- Technician must be able to create a work list and prioritize work and projects.
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Meet scheduled work hours for department and shift. Remain flexible to work overtime, which is mandatory.
- Technician must be safety conscientious and be able to recognize safety issues.
- PC competency, use the basics of Word & Excel, know how to get around in Windows.
- Give attention to detail.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of and experience with HVAC and plumbing, electrical.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Experience maintaining and repairing conveyors and forklifts.
- Experience with conveyors, understand flow of system, start, stop, and un-jam. Check zones, belt tracking, and oilier, minor repairs, PM's with assistants.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Technical education / training. 2 – 5 years’ experience as facilities maintenance engineer.
- Ability and aptitude to learn new skills through ``on the job`` experience as well as through formal and informal training.
- Lifting Objects weighing up to 25lbs from the floor to over-head level.
- Lift objects weighing up to 45lbs from the floor to waist.
- Continuous/frequent walking or standing for long periods of time.
- Continuous/frequent pushing or pulling heavy carts – up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work in varying physical environments, including heights and in outdoor weather conditions.
