Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, i.e. plumbing, HVAC/R, building installations, usage of forklifts and equipment’s, working on the roof, etc.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
  • Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility
  • Track and store department inventory
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
  • Safely move up to 50lbs with regular bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head along with pushing and pulling wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds, during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodations

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equal to; Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience/Training, Education, and Certifications considered; Preferred 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • 2+ year’s experience preferable with repairing of material handling equipment, automated conveyor systems and controls, and forklift operations, diagnosing and fixing predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • At least 1+ full years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading, knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards and some Project Management experience

Skills: Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Ability to work in commercial/industrial environments that may be noisy and potentially work on roof top equipment in extreme temperatures
  • Self-starter to work in solo environment, but excellent team player
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
  • Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information 
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

COVID-19 Considerations:
