Job Description

Reporting to the Styling Manager and Assistant Styling Manager, BGO E-commerce Stylist is responsible for the on-model and product/still styling of BGO e-commerce photo shoots. As part of our studio visual production team, they will ensure that all styling is consistent with the BGO point of view, style guides, and that production/productivity targets are met. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to understand both vendor brand identity and BGO brand identity.  This role performs cross-functionally, collaborating with all studio departments, including but not limited to:  photographers, digital techs, coordinators, and studio management. 

Styling - 100%

  • Prepare and style merchandise, interpreting brands with an editorial eye, while respecting the BGO identity and vendor identity
  • Research designers, brands, collections, and products in preparation for each shoot
  • Manage time appropriately and collaborate with on-set production team (photographers, set coordinators, digital techs and assistants), and Styling Manager to achieve daily production targets while keeping the BGO POV
  • Execute styling for a wide variety of brands to BGO quality and productivity standards
  • Maintain strict standards of quality control, staying up-to-date with BGO art direction
  • Assist the Styling Manager on ad hoc projects, as required
  • Stay up-to-date on industry tools, techniques, and best practices in styling
  • Travel periodically to participate in ad hoc studio projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Retail Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in visual merchandising or fashion styling, preferably in a luxury or e-commerce environment
  • Strong grasp of garment construction, fabrics, color and matching
  • Exceptional fashion and styling sense with a proven ability to stay ahead of trends
  • Strong knowledge of current fashion trends and luxury designer labels

  • Ability to carry out creative processes in a fast paced production environment 
  • Team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinker with problem solving abilities
  • Proven ability to process high volumes of workflow
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and execute
