JOB DUTIES

  • Planning
    • Long-Range Planning (LRP) for all current and potential future merchandise concession businesses
      • Maintain Current vs LRP vs AOP vs MFP
    • Quantify and communicate to key stakeholders, change impacts related to conversion timing
    • Monitor and validate monthly MFP projection updates including impacts of both owned and concession departments (Sales, Purchases, RTVs, Workroom, GM)
    • Monitor and validate all Concession locations are accurately reflected on strategy matrix
    • Maintain and share visibility to status of owned and concession financials during periods of transition, including financial bridge between systemic projections and outstanding departments
    • Partner with Concession team and concession brands on sales forecasts, keeping internal stakeholders abreast of expectations and changes
    • Establish and monitor daily sales plans, sharing insights with internal teams and brand partners
  • Analysis and Reporting
    • Analyze, recap, and share monthly insights into concession business performance
      • Versus plan, sales productivity, comparison to owned businesses, assortment, and inventory insights
    • Partner with Customer Insights team to analyze and communicate customer impacts as businesses transition to concession
    • Partner with Concession and Store Planning teams to establish and maintain systemic record of prior, current and future brand shops. Analyze and produce visibility on productivity levels.
    • Create analytical materials to support brand business review meetings
  • Negotiation strategy support
    • Partner with merchant teams to maintain sales forecasting at category and location level to support financial modeling and concession negotiations
    • Develop and maintain detailed P&L of all current and potential concession businesses
    • Maintain close contact with concession team, track and keep merchant teams abreast of brand negotiations status, updates, and changes
  • Work on special projects, ad hoc analysis, and initiatives related to concession management.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is responsible for providing detailed and accurate input into elevated presentations with internal and external partners. Attention to detail and follow-through is critical.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing via email and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to conduct complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to compile and structure data in efficient and scalable formats
  • Experience with, or strong desire to learn SQL
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Merchandising expertise - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e. buying office / category management) and merchandising organizational structures and processes
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Passion for excellence. High energy, self-motivated, and results oriented
  • Ability to effectively prioritize initiatives and collaborate across teams with ability to work under tight timelines and with quick turnarounds as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business leads, and key internal and external partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present analytics data to business users.
