Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
The Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting is one of three managers responsible for the Company’s internal and external financial reporting as well as corporate and technical accounting. This position is key in the quarterly production and review of internal and external reporting documents. The responsibilities for this position include supervising staff, preparation and review of reporting, coordinating financial reporting requirements from the operating divisions, planning, preparing and reviewing audit packages, researching and implementing accounting treatments, due diligence and special projects.
Key Performance Elements:
- The timely and accurate reporting of consolidated financial statements which include balance sheet variance analysis, divisional profit analysis and comparisons to current and previous forecasts and plans.
- Responsible for expense analysis, corporate forecasts and periodic valuation analyses.
- Responsible for earnings release schedules which include analysis of operating results and key balance sheet items.
- General ledger accounting and financial consolidation as well as related analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, employee benefit plan financials and other ad hoc reporting as well as coordination with auditors.
- Technical accounting research and analysis, including standard implementation, valuation analyses, and cash flow reporting.
- Collaboration with peers, team members and others to achieve objectives. Role will include both individual contribution and management of staff in order to achieve objectives.
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Master’s degree preferred
- Active CPA license required
- Big 4 and financial reporting experience is preferred
- Experience in SEC reporting, Oracle and Hyperion Essbase is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, professional presentation, and management experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, problem solving, research skills, resourcefulness and strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle changing priorities and manage expectations
Work Experience:
6-9+ years of progressive accounting experience with an emphasis in technical accounting and financial reporting.
