Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, development and management of Bergdorf Goodman’s events in the Women’s and Men’s stores and ensuring the messaging is consistent with BG’s other marketing channels.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Manage and develop an assistant that plans and executes numerous events including launches, trunk shows, personal appearances, press previews and luncheons each season

  • Manage seasonal events calendar

  • Attend Divisional Seasonal planning meetings to determine schedule and associated budgets

  • Oversee all event logistics including invitations, catering, sound and décor

  • Work closely with outside vendors and across departments to execute events

  • Manage estimates, invoices and budgets for all events

  • Plan and host press previews with the PR team including pop-up shops, beauty, holiday etc.

  • Continuously research new vendors, new ideas, new trends for events and event components

  • Facilitate in-store filming and photo shoots

  • Support PR and Partnerships departments with Press/VIP events.

  • Compile post-event recaps highlighting key take-aways and ROI for Senior Management

  • Partner with Social Media and PR team to maximize opportunity for exposure on all events

  • Regular Communication with Merchants and Senior Management.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and experience in special events, fashion and Public Relations. Candidate must be responsible, organized, highly motivated, positive and a team player.

     

  • Ideally 4-5 years in luxury events related position, ideally with PR experience too.

  • Able to prioritize daily responsibilities, work in a fast paced environment and problem solve.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Flexible schedule due to heavy volume of events.

  • Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects on tight deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Bachelor's degree.
