DESCRIPTION
An Art Director is responsible for designing and leading photography efforts on assigned projects. Responsibilities include attending creative project preparation meetings, directing page design and layout, direction of photography in studio and in location and presentation of final composite project to creative team, merchants and executives.
 

Job Summary

The Art Director is responsible for creative leadership and ownership of multiple projects and will coordinate with merchant and marketing teams to create innovative imagery and design for e-commerce and print advertising; produce and attend photo shoots; have layout and design experience; and work closely with Senior Director to continually elevate brand advertising. 

 

Job Duties

  • Create visually distinctive and engaging imagery for the web and magazine while maintaining the BG brand's style 
  • Articulate ideas and demonstrate a willingness to bring new ideas to the forefront
  • Assure that all advertising guidelines and regulations are followed
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and thrive in a team oriented environment

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years professional experience in photo art direction and print design
  • Degree in visual communication, multimedia design or a related course of
  • study
  • Portfolio containing samples of fashion art direction and design
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis in PhotoShop and InDesign
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to successfully organize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to interface with marketing and merchant teams on a regular basis
