JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SEO manager to join our Digital Marketing/E-commerce team!  As SEO Manager, you will report to the SEO Director and be responsible for managing and implementing on-the-page and off-the-page SEO strategies. You’ll work closely with internal and external partners to implement best practices and strategic recommendations. This role will lead the natural search domestic & international program across all four Neiman Marcus Group sites. The ideal candidate must have at least 2-5 years of hands-on SEO and eCommerce experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the strategic direction of the SEO function by creating a roadmap and innovation agenda

Partner with Product Management, UX, and SEO agencies on technical SEO plan development

Research and analyze competitive SEO strategies

Oversee the creation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports

Serve as SEO subject matter expert for content writers, digital product teams and technology teams

Partner with Paid Media/SEM team to align paid and organic strategies

Stay up to date on the latest developments in SEO and search engine algorithm changes

Measure and track site ranking factors, keywords, internal and external links, and site content

Review and audit owned sites to drive change that complies with best practices (including schema.org)

Work closely with internal teams including Merchandising, Ecomm Operations and Product teams to develop processes ensuring SEO best practices are followed

Partner with and manage relationships with external vendors

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

2-5 years of SEO and eCommerce experience, either in-house or at an agency

Excellent understanding of technical SEO requirements

Excellent understanding of web analytics (Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics)

Strong understanding of enterprise reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)

Strong understanding of Ecommerce processes (product setup, inventory management, etc.)

Deep understanding of search engine ranking criteria, including local ranking factors

Experience working SEO tools – Webmaster Tools, Majestic, Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Searchmetrics etc.

Past-proven experience successfully managing and implementing SEO initiatives for enterprise websites

Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or other rich media technologies (website architecture a plus)

Ability to work with various types of data to develop and analyze trends and insights 

Strong written and oral communication skills

High-level proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Retail apparel E-commerce experience a plus

Requires an Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
