The Bergdorf Goodman Assistant Styling Manager is responsible for assisting the Styling Manager in overseeing the styling and art direction of BGO eCommerce imagery.

 

·        Make decisions on behalf of the Styling Manager when necessary.

·        Assist Styling Manager in standing up company initiatives.

 

On Set/Approval Responsibilities:

·        Aid in approving sell shots and act as Art Director on each set in order to maintain the BG brand aesthetic

·        Understand and execute appropriate lighting, styling, naming and camera angles

·        Communicate respectfully and effectively to stylists, photographers, models, digital techs and assistant stylists when an error has been made or an item needs to be reshot

·        Oversee lighting and photography to ensure that each set is up to BG standards and the lighting matches the approved imagery from Creative Team

·        Manage any garment or fit difficulties that occur on set and work with Merchandise Coordinator to resolve the issue

·        Utilize Adobe programs to catalog all images from the week

·        Select the top 30 images from the week and organize into a power point for weekly studio meeting

·        Problem solve with Studio Manager when Models or Assistant Stylists call out and rearrange the merchandise accordingly 

·        Train new stylists on set

·        Communicate appropriate posing approved by Styling Manager to new models

·        Review imagery in weekly meeting with Creative Team when Styling Manager isn’t present

Style Out Responsibilities:

·        Review rods in style out with Stylists and make any adjustments to looks that aren’t up to the BG brand aesthetic

·        Assist in corresponding garment to appropriate model type and select appropriate shoes and accessories

·        Aid in managing editorial process and procedures, including styling garments, on-set styling and art direction

·        Analyze current runway trends to help Stylists produce fresh, luxurious and relevant styling

·        Train new stylists
